Recognition Program 2007-2008
The Parma Elks Lodge held their second annual Recognition Program on March 19, 2008 to recognize the Citizen, Outstanding Student, Volunteer, Firefighter, and Police Officer of the year for the cities of Brooklyn Heights, Parma and Parma Heights. The recognition program was co sponsored by the local Sun Newspapers and Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
There were over 130 in attendance for the dinner and awards program held in the hall at the Parma Elks Lodge. Dinner was catered by Carrabba’s Italian Grill and officers of the Parma Police Department donated the dessert.
Starting in late summer of 2007 through the end of December , nomination forms were made available at the local libraries, various municipal buildings throughout the area, the Parma Elks Lodge, and published several times in the Sun Newspapers. The forms were then submitted to the Parma Elks who in turn disbursed the nominations to committees from the three participating cities who selected the winners.
Each winner received a complimentary meal for two, an award certificate from the Parma Elks, and a proclamation from their city which were presented at the award ceremony by the Mayors of the respective cities.

The Parma Elks Lodge held their first Recognition Program on March 14, 2007 to recognize the Citizen, Outstanding Student, Volunteer, Firefighter, and Police Officer of the year for the cities of Brooklyn Heights, Parma and Parma Heights.
